Lemon elegy

How ever you wore waiting for a lemon
On her death bed which is sorrowful white and bright
A lemon was bitten that in my hand by Chieko's white tooth
The room which is fragrant with the lemon colored topaz
The drip of the lemon which is in heaver
It could replace all of a sudden her real heart
Chieko's pure blue eyes smiled feebly
She grasped my hand
How fine her strength is
She was losing her breath
Although now she came buck to herself on the verge of death
Besides she bent her mind to all her love
Then she took a deep breath that she once had done on the mountaintop
And her life at moment stopped
This is the lemon which is cool and shiny
I'll put it in front of her picture with the branch of cherry blossom




This is one couple's real life.
Husband was an engraver and a poet whose name is Kotaro Takamura.
His wife was an artist. her name is Chieko.
They were devoted to each other.
However the wife became lunacy.
He took care his wife Chieko.
The book of poems name is " Chieko shou " it is popular in Japan and it was written by Kotaro Takamura.

　そんなにもあなたはレモンをまってゐた
　かなしく白くあかるい死の床で
　わたしの手からとつた一つのレモンを
　あなたのきれいな歯ががりりと噛んだ

　その数滴の天のものなるレモンの汁は
　ぱっとあなたの意識を正常にした
